A. Applicability. The Comprehensive Plan reflects Liberty Hill’s long-term plan for growth and development. The City Council may, from time to time, on its own motion or on petition, amend, supplement, change, modify, or repeal the regulations, restrictions, and boundaries herein established, or contained in the Comprehensive Plan.

B. Approval Criteria. The City Council may consider criteria it deems relevant and important in taking final action on the amendment, but shall generally determine that the amendment promotes the health, safety, or general welfare of the City and the safe, orderly, and healthful development of the City.

C. Responsibility for Final Action. Recommendations regarding Comprehensive Plan amendments may be made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Planning and Zoning Commission shall forward their recommendation to the City Council who is responsible for final action on Comprehensive Plan Amendments.
